About Maier Consulting
We build organisations that actually work.
Not just ones that pass audits.
Maier Consulting was founded in Nairobi in 2015 with a straightforward conviction: the gap between a well-run organisation and a poorly-run one is almost never resources – it is systems, skills and the people who own them. A decade later, that conviction drives everything we do.
We work across the full range of what makes an institution function. That means ISO management systems – quality, information security, environmental, occupational health, business continuity – but it equally means strategic planning when leadership needs a direction, procurement systems when compliance is non-negotiable, customised training when your team needs to own what we build, and institutional surveys when you need to understand what is actually happening before you act.
Our clients include public universities, national water utilities, ICT companies, TVET institutions, development partners and World Bank-financed programmes. They share a common profile: they operate in environments where getting it wrong is not an option, and they need partners who understand the Kenyan and East African context – not just the standards. We understand the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act as well as we understand ISO 27001. We understand performance contracting as well as we understand ISO 9001. That combination is what makes the work land.
We do not hand over a folder and leave. Every engagement ends with your team knowing more than when we arrived – internal auditors trained, documentation owned, processes understood. That is our real deliverable.
01
The Full Picture
ISO certification, strategic planning, procurement systems, capacity training, institutional surveys – we cover every dimension of how an organisation is run, not just one slice of it.
02
Built for This Region
PPADA 2015, performance contracting frameworks, Kenya's audit culture, East Africa's governance structures – we know the environment our clients operate in because we work in it every day.
03
Zero Shortcuts
Zero major non-conformities at first attempt comes from building correct foundations. We design systems for the people who run them, not for the auditors who review them.
04
Capacity That Stays
Every engagement transfers real skill. Your internal auditors are trained, your documentation team can maintain what we build, and your leadership understands the system they are responsible for.
